I have undertaken many commissions during my career. Pet portraits in particular are a wonderful way to remember treasured family members.
Commission work can be carried out in various mediums and sizes to suit your requirements. I will always advise on the best medium to represent the most lifelike representation. I only use the highest quality of art materials ensuring my work is fully archival. This means that the artwork I create for you will not fade, or bleed or discolour with time.
My aim is to produce detailed, quality artwork at affordable prices for individuals who want to invest in a unique commissioned original painting or drawing.

THE PROCESS
Photographs are used as a foundation for the commissioned artwork and must be accurate for detail and colour. Should you require more than one subject featured in the portrait I can combine them from different photo's.
Please consider the following:
I work closely with clients to ensure that not only do I get a good representation of the subject but to get to know its character and temperment.
'On the Easel' is a process used for customers to follow the progress of their commission online via my website or email showing scanned image of the artwork.
The time it takes to produce the artwork depends on size, complexity of the commission and of my committed workload. I will discuss these factors with the client at the time.
At the time of placing the commission and the deposit paid the order will be scheduled into my workload. The photo's can be sent later at an agreed time.
An alternative to the standard service is the complete gold service, see details below.

COMPLETE GOLD SERVICE
INCLUDES PHOTO SHOOT AND FRAMING
- Visit to customers home.
- Time spent with customers pet, gaining their confidence and discussing the composition of the painting or drawing and the particular image they are looking for.
- The animals unique colour tones and character is noted and an extensive set of photographs are then taken.
- A photo is then chosen by the owner to ensure the animal has the perfect expression and composition showing his character to be "captured" in the painting.
- An approximate completion date agreed.
- On completion of the art work the picture will be framed and dispatched via courier, fully insured.

NOTE ON SIZES
All sizes are approximate but I will try to ensure that the drawings are at least these dimensions. Please note that these sizes are the image size i.e. the aperture in a mount.
When mount is added the frame size will be another 4" to 7" depending on the size selected.

I can provide a complete painting service, from photo-shoot to framing, and although based in Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove I am more than happy to come to you if required. Details of my travel expenses are as follows:
- Up to 10 miles - FREE
- Up to 50 miles - £50.00
- Up to 75 miles - £70.00
- Up to 100 miles - £90.00
- Up to 125 miles - £125.00
- Up to 150 miles - £200.00

- UK - Unframed - £20.00 (Special delivery/courier)
- UK - Framed 18 x 14 and under - £30.00 (courier)

TERMS OF BOOKING
A 50% deposit is required in advance of commencement of all commissions to book a slot. If the commission is cancelled more than 8 weeks prior to date of commencement then all but 30% will be refunded (this 30% covers my initial set up costs). If however the cancellation is given with less than 8 weeks notice then the full deposit becomes non-refundable.
The estimated date of commencement is given at the time of booking.
